Carolyn Kay

Carolyn's excellence and versatility in performing classical and folk dance styles of India and the Middle East have captivated audiences everywhere. Since 1974 she has toured in 43 states, performing and teaching in schools, universities, cultural centers, and under the auspices of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, lecturer and director of Rhythms & Visions, Carolyn Kay was, for years, the partner of the legendary Bhaskar and soloist with the companies of Ibrahim Farrah and Matteo. Her travels and studies have taken her to India, West Africa, the Middle East, and Morroco, where she lived for three years. She is a winner of the Ruth St. Denis Award for Creative Choreography in Ethnic Dance.
